童話を英訳してみたシリーズ4弾。今回は「シンデレラ」です。

あらすじ（英訳）
One day there is a nice girl.
Her name is Cinderella.
She lives with her stepmother and two stepsisters.
Her step mother says to Cinderella.
“You must clean and do laundry!”
One day there is hold a dance party at the castle.
So her step mother and step sisters wear beautiful dresses and shoes.
Cinderella says,
“I want to go to the dance party too.”
Her step mother says,
“No, you don’t have a beautiful dress and shoes.”
And she takes only her stepsisters to the dance party.
Cinderella is crying.
Suddenly a fairy appears.
The fairy uses magic to a pumpkin, mouse and lizard.
And the pumpkin changes to the carriage.
The mouse changes to the driver.
The lizard changes to the horse.
And Cinderella wears a beautiful dress and glass shoes.
The fairy says,
“You must come back before midnight!”
Cinderella says,
“OK. I promise.”
And she goes to the dance party.
The prince sees Cinderella and he asks her,
“Will you dance with me?”
And he dances with Cinderella.
“Ding Ding Ding.”
It is twelve o’clock.
Cinderella runs quickly but she loses a glass shoe.
Then the prince finds the shoe.
His servants look for the glass shoe’s owner.
And they come to Cinderella’s house.
The shoe fits Cinderella’s foot.
So the servants says,
“Wow! It fits perfectly!”
Cinderella wears the glass shoes and goes to the castle.
The prince says,
“I found you!”
After that Cinderella gets married with the prince.
And they live happily ever after.
あらすじ（日本語）
ある日、素敵な女の子がいました。
彼女の名前はシンデレラです。
彼女は継母と義理の姉妹と一緒に住んでいます。
継母はシンデレラにこう言います
「掃除と洗濯はあなたがやりなさい！」
ある日、お城で舞踏会が開催されることになりました。
そのため、継母と義理の姉妹は美しいドレスと靴に着替えます。
シンデレラは言います。
「わたしも舞踏会に行きたいです！」
継母は答えます。
「ダメです。あなたは綺麗なドレスも靴も持っていないでしょう」
そして継母は義理の姉妹だけを連れて舞踏会に行ってしまいます。
シンデレラは泣いています。
すると突然妖精が現れます。
その妖精はカボチャとねずみとトカゲに魔法をかけます。
すると、カボチャは馬車に変わります。
ねずみは御者に変わります。
トカゲは馬に変わります。
そしてシンデレラの服は美しいドレスとガラスの靴に変わります。
妖精は言います。
「日付が変わる12:00までに帰って来なさい！」
シンデレラは答えます・
「わかりました。約束します」
そして彼女は舞踏会に向かいます。
王子様はシンデレラを見かけると彼女に尋ねます。
「僕と踊ってくれませんか？」
そして王子とシンデレラは一緒に踊ります。
「ゴーン、ゴーン、ゴーン」
時計が12:00を指しています。
シンデレラは急いで走って帰り、そのときに靴の片方を落としてしまいます。
そして王子がその靴を見つけます。
彼の使用人たちはガラスの靴の持ち主を探します。
そして彼らはシンデレラの家にやってきます。
その靴はシンデレラの足にぴったりハマります。
そして使用人は言います。
「素晴らしい！これはぴったりだ！」
シンデレラはガラスの靴を履き、お城に向かいます。
王子はシンデレラに向けて言います。
「ようやく見つけたよ」
そしてシンデレラと王子は結婚をしました。
そして彼女たちは楽しく幸せに暮らしましたとさ。
